Insurance investigator Maindrian Pace and his squad live double lives as relentless auto thieves while working as insurance investigators. Pace is paid by a South American drug lord to steal 48 automobiles for him, but only one, a 1973 Ford Mustang, is in the bag. In Long Beach, Pace is preparing to rip-off the fastback, dubbed "Eleanor," when he is unaware that his boss has informed the authorities as a result of a business dispute.
