It's possible that the cells from Godzilla and Biollante that remained in our atmosphere were mistakenly taken by Mothra as she travelled into deep space to stop a meteor from hitting Earth. After passing through a black hole, the cells fused together to form Space Godzilla. Godzilla, Junior Godzilla, and the new G-Force robot, MOGERA, are all on Earth when Space Godzilla arrives.
