1923, Munich, Germany. Edward Elric has been dragged from his own world to ours for two years, leaving behind his country, his friends, and his younger brother, Alphonse. After losing his alchemical abilities, he has been researching rocketry with Alphonse Heiderich, a young man who resembles his own brother, in the hopes of one day finding a way back home. His previous efforts had been futile, but after assisting a troubled gipsy girl, Edward is thrust into a series of events that threaten to devastate both worlds.
