Foolish Wives
A swindling count in Monte Carlo, Erich von Stroheim writes/directs. So he lives off the money extorted from married women who fell for his love charms. The Count's accomplices, Mae Busch and Maud George, dwell in a vast home with the bogus princesses. Their latest victim, played by an actress identified as Miss DuPont, is an American financier's wife. In the end, the Count receives his comeuppance for his attempts to seduce this particular dumb lady.
