Far and Away

A young man and the daughter of his landlord leave Ireland because of problems with the girl's father. They dream of getting land at the big giveaway in Oklahoma in 1893. When they get to the new land, they find jobs and start saving money. The man becomes a local barehands boxer and lives in glory until he is beaten. His employers then steal all of the couple's money, and they must fight off hunger in the winter and try to keep their dream of owning land alive. In the meantime, the woman's parents find out where she is and come to America to find her and take her back.
