The human body is the vehicle through which we interact with the physical environment and the repository of our most primal instincts. Since David and Venus, we have placed the human form on the highest pedestal, shaping and perpetuating an unreachable beauty standard in which we experience pleasure, love, judgment, destruction, blood, and grin. Our natural body has been sexualized, vilified, and occasionally shamed into a taboo by this warped standard of beauty. For what reasons is a nude body unacceptable? If so, does it have any political weight? Are we not more complex than we seem?
