It was a big year for big wave surfing, and Ian Walsh, a legendary surfer, shows us how he used his mind and body to push the boundaries of what was "rideable." There are huge El Nio-powered waves building all over the Pacific. The Walsh brothers band together in the way that only brothers can on a journey that will change the world of surfing for the better. Big wave surfing moves from using jet skis to paddling in. This raises the stakes, putting Walsh's intense physical and mental training, the most up-to-date technology, swell modeling, and his safety team, his brothers, to the test. They meet up with Walsh as he goes through an emotional roller coaster this winter. John John Florence, Greg Long and Shane Dorian are some of the surfers who meet up with him, too.
