When John Brock returns from an archaeological expedition to rural Kentucky caves, he is a down-on-his-luck archaeologist who has been searching for a long-lost family treasure. An ancient bird-like monster from mythology has begun to appear in John's dreams since his return. When John returns, he discovers that the last cave he entered was actually the one that holds the artifact and is also a portal to Hell and an Occult temple. Only by returning to the cave with his family and destroying the relic will John be able to put an end to the frightening images that have been plaguing him for so long.
