The fact that Emily Nichols has missed every family gathering this year makes returning home for Christmas very essential. Misfortunes such as delayed public transportation, diverted flights, damaged trains and a missing wallet compel her to travel home with fellow road warrior Simon Allein. While Emily is a Type A planner who hates disruptions and hassles, Simon is a positive thinker who sees the good in every situation. It tests their resolve to survive, but it also gives them a chance to get to know each other better and maybe even fall in love.
