In order to portray the life of the infamous cult 'Friends at the End,' a documentary crew travels to a lonely area in England to film them. A botched apocalypse prophesy in the 1950s led to the demise of F.A.T.E., which had formerly been a thriving religious sect. Several recent disappearances of former members have been attributed to F.A.T.E, and their leader Daniel Love has gone into self-imposed exile. This year's harvest has also been a failure for them. Everything, with the exception of the potatoes. In desperate need of funds, the gang recruits new member Rachel from a local rehabilitation clinic, where she later becomes their leader. Rachel invigorates the group, and when she turns the head of long-time member Comet, old alliances begin to fray and fall apart. F.A.T.E's beliefs are being tested as the group approaches the comet that they believe will bring with it the end of the world. A new secret is revealed, and it threatens everything the cult has worked so hard to achieve in the past.
