Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen

After moving from New York to Dellwood, New Jersey with her mother and two younger twin sisters, Mary Elizabeth Steppe a.k.a. Lola feels as though her cultural and entertainment world has come to an end. Ella, an outcast at school, is a big admirer of the band Sidarthur, and Lola quickly becomes friends with her. But Carla Santini, the school's most popular girl, has a disagreement with Lola over who should play the lead in a rendition of Pygmalion and who should lead their friends. As Sidarthur's final concert approaches, Lola and Ella devise a scheme in which they would go to New York and purchase tickets from scalpers there. Stu Wolf, the lead singer and Lola's idol, gets into difficulty as the girls help him. This changes their lives forever.
