New York City event planner Whitney Kennison (Tiya Sircar) is flying to Chicago to spend Christmas with her grandmother Frances after years of skipping family gatherings (Diane Ladd). Frances decides to give Whitney the Kennison family Christmas decorations as a gift because she is so happy that her granddaughter is finally home for the holidays. Grandma Frances, on the other hand, is forced to design a sly Christmas scavenger hunt to remind Whitney of the true meaning of the season. The clock is ticking for Whitney as she races to regain the family heirlooms, find love, and absorb the wisdom that Grandma Frances has to share with her granddaughter.
