Chinatown
Investigation firm Jake Gittes makes his living off of the shady moral milieu that prevailed in the Southern California during the pre-World War II era. Gittes is drawn into a storm of shady dealings and fatal deceits after being hired by a beautiful socialite to investigate her husband's extra-marital affair. Through her investigation, she uncovers a web of personal and political scandals that all come crashing together.
