Following numerous attempts to reach her grandmother without success, a young girl called Jamie looks into the matter further by visiting her grandmother's apartment in Omaha, Nebraska-only to discover that it has been condemned and overrun by possessed youngsters. As she investigates further, she uncovers a horrible secret about her grandmother, which serves to awaken a dark, demonic entity that is hell-bent on seeing Jamie dead and will stop at nothing to achieve its goal.
