Elvis Martini is in a serious state of distress. Most of his tenants are overdue on their rent, and he owes a lot of money to bookmakers and his daughter's school. His decaying Detroit apartment complex is on the verge of being foreclosed on by the bank. He discovers some ill-gotten cash in the flat of an evicted tenant, which temporarily keeps the wolves at bay, but it also brings out a bigger wolf, one who is eager to get his stolen money back.. As a result of his unintended involvement with the mystery menace, Elvis is given 24 hours to come up with $25,000 in cash - or else his daughter would be kidnapped.
