He digs a hole in the middle of nowhere and burys something once a month. The individual who delivers his mail on a regular basis is society's last refuge. When his mailman fails to deliver one day and is replaced by the lovely and perplexed Ariel, Phoenix's life spirals out of control, leading to disastrous consequences from which he may never be able to recover.
