Roger, a devout politician, has grandiose plans to propose to his dream lady at her family's lake property. But all changes when he meets Todd, a full-time camp counselor with a golden heart and a wild sense of humor who pines to be Roger's best friend, ultimately catapulting him into a series of tragic occurrences. As Roger struggles to assert himself amidst crazy fishing adventures, propulsive water jetpacks, and musicals about American history, he discovers that becoming a member of a new family may be more difficult than he anticipated.
