In New York, Rocky Sullivan and Jerry Connelly are best friends and small time thieves. After a robbery, Rocky is arrested and sent to a reformatory school, where he begins his career as a criminal. Jerry gets away and later becomes a priest. Rocky spends three years in prison. When he gets out, he wants the $100,000 he put with his lawyer before he went to jail back.
