According to Maura Mackenzie, the world is hers for the taking. At this point, it appears as if the demons she's fighting are going to remain hidden under her growing reputation as a concert pianist. As a result, her precarious sanity begins to unravel, and she makes a dreadful mistake— a mistake that will change her life forever— one summer day. Because of her ambitious husband fleeing with their children, Maura is left to spiral into a full-blown mental collapse. Her old way of life is gone forever. Maura is reclaiming her life with the support of her father, Ian, while praying for a miracle to bring her girls home. It is possible, though, to forgive one's mistakes if the stars align.
