Mike, a seemingly inept and lazy stoner, has his small-town life with his live-in girlfriend, Phoebe, flipped upside down in American Ultra, a fast-paced action comedy. Mike is a highly trained, murderous sleeper agent, unbeknownst to him. Mike is pulled into the center of a dangerous government operation in the blink of an eye, as his secret history comes back to haunt him, and is forced to call his inner action-hero in order to survive.
