Will Freeman is a cool Londoner who one day realizes that all of his friends are married and have families, leaving him out in the cold. By pretending to be a single dad, he meets a number of single moms. He is sure that he can leave them when they start to ask for a commitment. But Will's plans to stay single are dashed when he meets 12-year-old Marcus, who is very different from him in many ways.
