In the 1960s, a white neighborhood in Johannesburg, South Africa. When Molly Roth's father goes missing and her mother is arrested shortly after, the 13-year-old daughter of socialist activists must piece together what's going on around her. There is a shift in the significance of the relationships between Molly's family and her White acquaintances. In apartheid, relationships are delicate. The question is, how will she get through the day?
