A Touch of Spice

"A Touch of Spice" is the narrative of Fanis, a young Greek boy growing up in Istanbul, who learns from his grandfather, a culinary philosopher and mentor, that both food and life benefit from a pinch of salt. Both require a dash of spice. Fanis matures into an accomplished cook who uses his culinary abilities to enliven the lives of others around him. He leaves Athens 35 years later and returns to Istanbul, his birthplace, to reconcile with his grandfather and first love. He returns only to discover that he neglected to add some flavor to his own life.
