After shedding his buddy Charlie on Christmas Eve, Bobby Whiteside ventures out onto the lake where they played video games of winter hockey. Upon shoveling the ice surface area he uncovers a magic, perfectly groomed hockey rink that shows up only at night in his presence. When an advancement business starts purchasing lake frontage, Bobby signs up with forces with his high school crush to rally the community to play one last video game on the night fish pond.
